President Trump's COVID-19 Response vs The Democrat's Response
From day one, President Trump took every effort to control and mitigate the pandemic, as Democrats did everything to block and thwart his efforts. They called him a Racist and xenophobe for his COVID travel ban, and openly ridiculed and defied his plans to protect the US.
Remember Operation Warp Speed? If it wasn't for President Trump and 'Operation Warp Speed' we'd all STILL be waiting on a vaccine. President Trump has only and repeatedly urged people to get vaccinated, and even though he has natural immunity, he also chose to get vaccinated.
Here are just a few of the horrendous and misguided efforts by Democrats to intentionally derail President Trump's efforts ...
On February 7th, 2020, NYC "Health Commissioner" Oxiris Barbot speaking on behalf of Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio told NYers to ignore the virus and get on with their lives; "We're telling New Yorkers, go about your lives, take the subway, go out, enjoy life"
On February 10th, 2020m NYC Mayor de Blasio, told NYers "If you’re under 50 & you’re healthy, which is most NYers, there’s very little threat here. This disease, even if you were to get it, basically acts like a common cold or flu. And transmission is not that easy."
On February 14th, 2020, NYC Mayor de Blasio told NYers, "[The Coronavirus] should not stop you from going about your life, should not stop you from going to Chinatown and going out to eat. I’m going to do that today myself."
On February 9th, 2020, Manhattan Borough President Mark D. Levine tweeted, "Despite #coronavirus fearmongering, today's #LunarNewYear parade in Chinatown is a joyous show of pride."
... and as long as we're on the subject of 'Chinatown; let's not leave out Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on February 24th (nearly three months into the coronavirus pandemic) telling EVERYONE to "Come join us!" in San Francisco's Chinatown.
NYC teachers charged that NYC Mayor de Blasio and School Chancellor Richard Carranza helped to spread the coronavirus and had "Blood on their hands"
On March 2nd, 2020, Mayor de Blasio told people, "Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I would offer some suggestions. Here’s the first: thru Thurs 3/5 go see “The Traitor” @FilmLinc. If “The Wire” was a true story + set in Italy, it would be this film."
He also advised NY'ers, "We have a lot of information now, information that is actually showing us things that should give us more reason to stay calm and go about our lives normally."
On March 2nd, 2020, NYC Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot on behalf of Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio told people, "We know that there’s currently no indication that it’s easy to transmit by casual contact ... We want New Yorkers to go about their daily lives, ride the subway, take the bus, go see your neighbors."
So, the facts are clear that it was Democrats who downplayed the virus, not President Trump. Trump was proactive regarding the COVID-19 from the very beginning, while Democrats were obsessed with planning their next impeachment scheme and trying to prove that they weren't racist like they claimed Trump was over the coronavirus concerns.
Here's the early timeline: The Chinese government notified WHO on Dec. 31 2019. The Trump administration sprang into action less than a week later on Jan 6, 2020. Meanwhile, all Democrats did was to work on impeachment schemes. The timeline proves President Trump acted swiftly.
Here's even more proof Democrats ALL downplayed COVID-19 ; telling people to ignore it and go out; ridiculing Trump as a racist/xenophobe for his China travel ban; and working on impeachment schemes while Trump was working to mitigate the virus in the US.
THEN Democrats sudden;y realized they could take Trump's call for "15 Days To Flatten The Curve" and use it to shut down the entire country State-by-State & town-by-town to destroy his economy, and that is exactly what they did. They hurt Americans and America, all to hurt one man.
